The National Dairy Herd Information Association (DHIA) is now accepting applications for its veterinary student scholarship program. The $1,500 scholarships are available to third and fourth year veterinary students at AVMA accredited schools.
Applicants will be judged on their interest and involvement in the dairy industry, as well as their interest in using dairy software and records for herd health management. The application also requires two letters of recommendation which must be emailed directly to the DHIA scholarship coordinator. These letters should be written by veterinarians, dairy producers, or faculty members.
Applications are available on the DHIA website and must be submitted by December 31, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be announced in early March.
