The 2019 Zoetis/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship Program, sponsored by Zoetis and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, is now accepting applications. Second and third year veterinary students in the U.S. (and certain schools in the Caribbean) are eligible to apply for one of the $2,000 awards. Approximately 300 scholarships will be awarded nationwide, with the number available per school determined by total enrollment.
Applications must be submitted by November 28, 2018. Applications will be accepted via the program website, which is a part of their VETVANCE educational site, or via the VETVANCE mobile app (available for download in the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store).
The Zoetis/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship Program has granted over 3,000 scholarships (totaling more than $6.1 million) over the past nine years. With veterinary educational debt averaging more than $150,000, vet students should be sure to take advantage of every chance to defray those costs—and with 300 scholarships available, you have a solid chance to secure an award through this program.
