Third Annual Vet Camp Contest Accepting Entries

Do you know a student (rising 6th to 8th grade) that dreams of becoming a vet?  Royal Canin and Vet Set Go are offering the third annual “Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest.”  Three middle school students will win a spot in Auburn University’s 2019 Junior VET Camp which runs from July 14th to 19th.  The award covers tuition, housing in a campus dorm, and all meals.  While only three students will win the grand prize, all student entrants will receive a code to take the site’s Become a Veterinarian quiz (a $19 value).

The Auburn Junior VET Camp is always booked full and usually costs $800 per student, making this contest a great opportunity.  (Applications for paid attendance for the summer 2019 were accepted beginning in December, with selected students set to be notified in mid-March).

Applicants must be middle school students (rising sixth through eighth graders).  Contest entries will be accepted through March 29th via the contest website.  The student must prepare a 300 word personal essay and choose a photo (with a pet) to submit with their application package.  The application materials must be officially submitted by their parent or legal guardian on the website, and winners will be notified in May.

Don’t miss out on this chance to win this unique experience!  Vet camp can be listed on college applications or used for an entrance essay topic.  It could also help you land a job at a local clinic, which is a great place for future vets to gain valuable hands-on experience.
