The 64th Annual Texas A&M Beef Cattle Short Course will run from August 6-8, 2018. The course is one of the largest cattle-related educational events in the country, drawing over 1,700 participants for its 20 educational sessions and various live demonstrations.
Topics for the Beef Cattle Short Course include nutrition, reproduction, genetics, selection, research, marketing, and handling. Registration is available for $210 until July 30th ($250 after). Registration includes meals, refreshments, shuttle access, a copy of the proceedings, a ticket to the Famous Texas Aggie Prime Rib Dinner, trade show admittance, and all educational events.
There is also a youth program for students between the ages of 13 and 18. The youth program is limited to 45 participants and offers a variety of demonstrations and learning opportunities. Youth registration is $100 by July 30th ($120 after). The fee includes meals, refreshments, trade show access, a copy of the proceedings, a ticket to the Prime Rib Dinner, and a tour of the Texas A&M vet school.
