The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has announced the addition of an intermediate level CE program to its educational offerings. The Veterinary Management Series: Culture, HR, and Marketing program will offer 30 hours of CE credit over 3.5 days. The program will run from October 4-7, 2017 in Lakewood, Colorado.
This new offering for those working at veterinary clinics will focus on techniques for improving clinic culture, best practices for human resources tasks, and all aspects of digital marketing (including social media and website management). Attendees also receive lunches, dinners, snacks, personalized digital marketing and HR action plans, and copies of A Practical Guide to Managing Employee Performance in Veterinary Practices. The total cost for this CE program is $895 for AAHA members and $1,195 for non-members (with early bird rates for those signing up before September 9). The agenda and registration form can be found on the AAHA site.
The AAHA also offers a Veterinary Management School (VMS) program that is more of an introductory-level overview of practice management. This offering will be hosted from September 13-16, also in Lakewood, Colorado, and at the same price points for members and non-members (though it only offers 28.5 hours of CE credit over 3.5 days). The introductory level VMS is not a requirement for those interested in taking the intermediate level Culture, HR, and Marketing course.
