Horse Racing Photography Contest Announced

Coady Photography has announced the establishment of an annual International Amateur Horse Racing Photography Contest.  All amateur photographers are encouraged to submit up to three photos during the entry period which runs from August 1-31, 2016.  Images may focus on any aspect of horse racing including shots of the track, the backside, and scenery.  Further details on entering the contest are available on the Coady Photography Facebook page.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts including two time Eclipse Award winning equine photographer Barbara Livingston.  Prizes include a $1,500 first place award, a $500 second place award, and a $250 third place award.  There will also be a $50 “Fan’s Choice” award for the photo receiving the most “likes” out of the top 50 finalists exhibited on the Coady Facebook page.  Winners will be announced in October.

This could be a great opportunity for aspiring equine photographers to get serious exposure for their work while having a chance to win some prize money and recognition.  Coady Photography is a major player in the horse racing photography space, acting as official track photographer for 29 tracks across the country including Churchill Downs and Keeneland.
