Animal Disease Emergency Response Course Offered Online

Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is set to offer an online course titled Animal Disease Emergencies: Understanding the Response.  This program is specifically designed for law enforcement, first responders, emergency managers, veterinary professionals, livestock producers, and others who are directly involved with detecting, containing, and controlling animal disease outbreaks.

The ADE course consists of two modules that can be completed at any time from September 20-30, 2017.  The course takes approximately two hours to complete, though students are free to review the materials at their own pace.  Upon passing the quizzes at the end of each module, a certificate of completion will be issued to successful participants.

Registrants must pay a $100 fee to participate in this offering, and four hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians and vet techs has been approved by AAVSB RACE.
