The American Kennel Club Humane Fund is once again offering scholarships to full time students pursuing education in a field that promotes responsible pet ownership. The AKC will award five John D. Spurling Scholarships ($2,000 each) to students with a strong academic record, community experience with responsible pet ownership, and positive letters of recommendation.
Students pursuing degrees in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology, animal care, animal science, animal behavior, grooming, or training may be eligible for this scholarship program. Applications are currently available on the AKC Humane Fund website and must be submitted by July 1, 2017 for consideration.
