MVS Pet Care has announced that it is offering veterinarians the chance to become a part of the world’s first mobile veterinary franchise. Mobile veterinary care has become increasingly popular in recent years, but this is the first franchise opportunity for mobile veterinary services (and we wouldn’t be surprised if more should sprout up in the near future).
To become a franchisee, a veterinarian must have between $45,000 and $75,000 to invest. This estimated investment covers a $25,000 franchise fee, three months of working capital, a vehicle, equipment, insurance, advertising materials, and supplies. The franchisee must also pay a 9 percent royalty on gross sales, and an additional half percent of gross sales must be contributed to the brand building fund (for marketing materials and support).
Benefits of becoming a franchisee include comprehensive training, discounted pricing on veterinary supplies, a call center to schedule appointments for clients, and access to experts who can advise on practice management.
The official franchise launch will take place this week at the VMX: Veterinary Meeting & Expo in Orlando, Florida.
