The National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDPRB) is now accepting applications for its 2018-2019 scholarship program. Up to eleven $2,500 scholarships are available to undergraduates pursuing degrees with a dairy emphasis (not limited to but including food science, journalism, education, marketing, nutrition, business, and public relations). The top student will be awarded the $3,500 James H. Loper Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
Applicants qualify based on academic performance, coursework related to the dairy industry, interest in a dairy career, extracurricular activities, and demonstrated leadership ability. In addition to the official application form, students must submit an official college transcript and a short personal statement related to their aspirations and experiences in the dairy industry.
Unlike most scholarship programs the NDPRB does not offer an online submission form, so be sure to allow extra time for printing and mailing. Completed applications must be postmarked by Friday, April 27, 2018. Winners will be announced in the fall of 2018.
